Narration বা উক্তি পরিবর্তন ইংরেজি গ্রামারের একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ। এটি শেখার জন্য কিছু সহজ নিয়ম অনুসরণ করলেই আপনি Direct Speech (প্রত্যক্ষ উক্তি) থেকে Indirect Speech (পরোক্ষ উক্তি) এ পরিবর্তন করতে পারবেন। এই ব্লগ পোস্টে, আমরা বাংলা এবং ইংরেজিতে মিশ্রিতভাবে Narration এর সহজ নিয়ম এবং উদাহরণ নিয়ে আলোচনা করব।
Narration কি?
Narration হলো কারো বলা কথা বা উক্তিকে অন্যকে জানানো। এটি দুইভাবে করা যায়:
1. Direct Speech (প্রত্যক্ষ উক্তি): বক্তার মূল কথাটি উদ্ধৃতি চিহ্নের মধ্যে বলা হয়।
- Example: He said, “I am busy.”
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন, “আমি ব্যস্ত।”
2. Indirect Speech (পরোক্ষ উক্তি): বক্তার কথাটি পরিবর্তন করে বলা হয়।
- Example: He said that he was busy.
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি ব্যস্ত।
Narration এর সহজ নিয়ম
Reporting Verb এর পরিবর্তন:
- Direct Speech এ Reporting Verb (যেমন: said, told) থাকে। Indirect Speech এ এটি পরিবর্তিত হতে পারে।
- Example:
- Direct: He said, “I am reading.”
- Indirect: He said that he was reading.
Person (ব্যক্তি) এর পরিবর্তন:
- First Person (I, we) → Reporting Verb এর Subject অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- Example:
- Direct: She said, “I am happy.”
- Indirect: She said that she was happy.
- Second Person (you) → Reporting Verb এর Object অনুযায়ী পরিবর্তিত হয়।
- Example:
- Direct: He said to me, “You are right.”
- Indirect: He told me that I was right.
Tense (কাল) এর পরিবর্তন:
- Present Indefinite → Past Indefinite
- Example:
- Direct: He said, “I go to school.”
- Indirect: He said that he went to school.
- Present Continuous → Past Continuous
- Example:
- Direct: She said, “I am reading.”
- Indirect: She said that she was reading.
- Present Perfect → Past Perfect
- Example:
- Direct: They said, “We have finished.”
- Indirect: They said that they had finished.
Time এবং Place এর পরিবর্তন:
- Now → Then
- Today → That day
- Here → There
- This → That
- Example:
- Direct: He said, “I will come today.”
- Indirect: He said that he would go that day.
Narration এর উদাহরণ
Direct: She said, “I am reading a book.”
Indirect: She said that she was reading a book.
বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি একটি বই পড়ছিলেন।
Direct: He said to me, “You are right.”
Indirect: He told me that I was right.
বাংলা: তিনি আমাকে বললেন যে আমি সঠিক।
Direct: They said, “We have completed the work.”
Indirect: They said that they had completed the work.
বাংলা: তারা বলল যে তারা কাজটি সম্পন্ন করেছে।
Direct: He said, “I will go to the market.”
Indirect: He said that he would go to the market.
বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি বাজারে যাবেন।
Direct: She said, “I can help you.”
Indirect: She said that she could help me.
বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি আমাকে সাহায্য করতে পারেন।
Narration Practice Sentences
- Direct: He said, “I am busy.”
- Indirect: He said that he was busy.
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি ব্যস্ত।
- Direct: She said, “I will call you.”
- Indirect: She said that she would call me.
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি আমাকে ফোন করবেন।
- Direct: They said, “We have finished our homework.”
- Indirect: They said that they had finished their homework.
- বাংলা: তারা বলল যে তারা তাদের হোমওয়ার্ক শেষ করেছে।
- Direct: He said, “I can solve the problem.”
- Indirect: He said that he could solve the problem.
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি সমস্যাটি সমাধান করতে পারেন।
- Direct: She said, “I was reading a book.”
- Indirect: She said that she had been reading a book.
- বাংলা: তিনি বললেন যে তিনি একটি বই পড়ছিলেন।
